The Ferrari California was first introduced at the 2008 Paris Motor Auto Show, and it was the moment in which Ferrari did a number of firsts with this vehicle that the public was surprised and appreciated greatly. For starters, the Ferrari California was the first Ferrari that included a front engine that was a V8. In addition, it was the first car to utilize a folding metal roof, a seven speed dual clutch transmission, and the first with direct petrol injection.

Performance wise the Ferrari California can go a maximum of 193 miles per hour, with a time of 4 seconds when going from zero to sixty. Which is impressive, and perhaps one of the many reasons why the car is sought after by performance car enthusiasts. The California definitely kept with the history of Ferrari as providing performance driven cars that people love, as well as providing high quality cars that have all the bells and whistles.
